Rape!!!! An Act Done By Cowards.

I read about the story of an Indian lady aged 23 who was raped by six men and had her  vagina and intestines plunged out in India and then I weep at how deteriorated human values are. Any young man who turns to Rape is a coward and an animal. Its sad to say the lady died Saturday the 29th of Dec 2012 after she went into coma five times since the 16th December. She was unconscious. Critical and wasn't been able to stop crying...But don’t worry, she wasn't your sister, she wasn't your niece, she wasn't your daughter, but she could be. The brutality has to stop right here guys. These people deserve capital punishment for their cruel, perverted act...

May her soul RIP.... Amen

Happy New Year.... Be disciplined, Focused and Dilligent

Every last day of every year happens to be a special one for me first because it shows I have scaled through all the hurdles that year threw at me, another reason is that I came into this world on the last day in the year 1985. Well this write up aint about me but about US. So glad we made it into the New Year, thinking about people that have lost their lives this past year gives those of us still living a wake up call to always remain good at all times.
I wouldn’t want to preach as we all have resolutions (most of us break it in less than a month) but I want us all to have a plan and a commitment that “Our yesterday should be better than today”.
My mind goes down to the gruesome Aluu 4 killings in port Harcourt Nigeria like they were my blood. For those who watched the video that went viral you would remember Lloyd I think who was murmuring something’s and all that came to my mind was that I hoped he was giving his life to Christ. No one truly knows what happened that day but one thing is for sure, Souls of Nigeria future leaders got cut short by Nigerians.
I wish us all we wish the best this year got to offer and only pray that the blessings of Enlargement  in Isaiah 54 is our portion.

Your Date With Destiny By Chris Widener

Destiny. What a powerful word. And the great thing about it? Everyone has one! You have a destiny! Another great thing about destiny? We have a significant role in shaping our own destiny! In essence, you can choose your date with destiny - powerful!

Your destiny is the dream that lies within you of your desired and preferred future. And the things that we choose each day are what lead us to that destiny: Our actions, our words, our attitudes, and our relationships. They all add up to develop and shape that date on which we will reach our destiny.

Here are some thoughts to think about as you work on shaping your Date with Destiny:

The Mental Question: Do you believe that you can achieve a life of abundance? The frank truth is that many people simply do not believe that they can achieve what lies in their heart. Success is for someone else, a better person, or a smarter person. This is not true and is perhaps the greatest obstacle we face on the journey to our destiny. If we are to achieve the abundance in life we must first believe we can, or face our own continual self-sabotage of what a college professor of mine called "stinkin'-thinkin.'"

Here is the truth:
It doesn't matter what your intelligence is.
It doesn't matter what your current resources are.
It doesn't matter what you currently earn.
It doesn't matter what family you came from.

Nothing in your current circumstances matters in whether or not you can achieve your destiny! Nothing! Now, your current state may make it a longer or harder journey than someone else, but the possibility is always there no matter what your current circumstances are.
And that is the message we need to continually tell ourselves. "I can do it." Not "I can't do it."
Clear vision. Do you have one of your destiny? Here are some questions to determine whether or not your vision is clear.
Can you describe it in intricate detail?
Can you "see" it?
Can you "feel" it?
Can you "hear" it?

Here are a couple of illustrations.
Perhaps you came from a dysfunctional family and your dream is to have great moments with your family. Let's start with a Thanksgiving meal. Can you see each person there? What are they wearing? Are they smiling? What is the conversation? Can you hear the laughter? Can you experience the joy? Can you smell the turkey? Can you see people hugging each other and saying "This was wonderful," as they leave?
Another scenario: Your Company. Can you see the large building you are in? Can you see the workers? Can you feel the positive attitude they have as they carry out their work? Can you experience the excitement as you get the quarterly results? Can you see yourself handing out healthy bonuses that bring pleasant surprises to your employees?

This is where it begins. A clear vision of your destiny. Consider your resources. Are you aware of the resources you will need in order to set your date with destiny? Do you know how you will go about getting them? What are your natural gifts and talents that you have? How can you best utilize them in achieving your destiny?

What is your current level of resources?
Money?
Time?
Emotional health?
Help from others such as friends, family, employees or volunteers?

What will be your needed future level of resources? And have you developed a plan to achieve this level?

The last thing I would encourage you to do is fix a date in the future that you believe you could be living your destiny by. A real date. What this enables you to do is then begin to work backwards in setting goals to move you along the way, providing you with future points to strive for and an evaluation point to reflect upon.

Here are the points again:

Answer the mental question: Do I really believe?

Develop a clear vision.

Consider the resources needed.

Set a date with destiny.

Develop a plan to get there.

Lt Adeyemi David Sowole Buried Amidst Tears

Lt Adeyemi Sowole
His Daughter
I waited this long to see if any TV station would carry this news but to my dismay No! May be today but is it NOT funny that NTA could air the news about the fire accident in Obasanjo's house and yet not even a gist about the burial of this fine gentle man who served his nation till the end? I sympathise with the Azazi's over the death of their loved one but do the likes of Ben Bruce and Donald Duke only sympathise because they know him ?what about the pilot and co pilot who in line of duty  missed a chance to be the father to his daughter, the unborn child in his beautiful wife's womb, a husband to Doctor Eniola? Values real values. I could go on and on venting but, it may just fall on a dead horse ears. Yesterday, Thursday the 27th of December 2012, the remains of Lt Adeyemi David Sowole was interred to mother earth amidst, family, friends and loved ones.
A requime mass was held in the Protestant Church Nigeria Navy Barracks Navy Town, there after  his remains was taking to the " Nigerian Army Cemetry Ojo". He was honoured by his colleagues who gave him a befitting parade and the 21 gunshot before committing him to mother earth. His wife, Dr Eniola Sowole, their daughter, the deceased sister did the dust to dust right on him biding him fare well till they meet to part no more.
On their wedding day

Worker Fired Because Boss Finds Her Irresistible.

Now When I read that story on CNN I laughed doubting its authenticity but it is true and this happened in IOWA. Melissa Nelson, whose case was ruled by the high court who sided with a lower court, ruling that Nelson's termination did not constitute sex discrimination under the Iowa Civil Rights Act.She was not fired because of her gender, the court decided, but because her boss and his wife felt Nelson was a threat to their marriage.
Nelson was hired in 1999 as a dental assistant for James Knight. She stayed on at the Fort Dodge business for more than 10 years.

Wow...

Fire Crackers Brings Down Houses In Lagos Island

I am sure when they bought those fire crackers and stored it in those warehouses in the Jankara area of Lagos, they were looking at how much sales they were going to make but guess fate had other plans for it as an unsuspected person threw it in one of the buildings and Alas, it was "fire cracking" burning down houses and leaving many homeless and millions of Naira lost.
Explosions from the "knockouts" caused panic amongst residents of the area.
The massive fire gutted eight houses and injured forty people according to Ibrahim Farinloye, the National Emergency Management Agency spokesperson in Lagos.NEMA said the army, navy and airforce joined in putting out the fire by midday.
One person reported dead from the fire.

First BokoHaram, And Now Ansaru... What Next?

I really do not understand these sects and their plan. I wouldn't want to say religion  because I have some moslem friends who are the most peaceful, gentle and honest people i have ever met and they are Hausa's. but the difference is that they are Educated. The nation is stil trying to get rid of the BokoHaram sect which has been tormenting the country Nigeria since 2009, killing human beings and claiming they are doing the right thing. and then Ansaru, a brother to Bokoharam “ announces to the world, especially the French government, that it was responsible for the abduction of engineer Francis Colump, 63, working for the French company Vergnet.”.
Their Reason?
They said the french are against Islam and about to ban women from wearing viels. The group specifically pointed to “France’s major role in the (planned) attack on the Islamic state in northern Mali.”

Duh.. is that a good reason to stop a project that would be beneficial to your children and children's children? pardon me if am wrong but I think these sects need to have a rethink on their strategy. If they want to be the best, they should get knowledge. Whats funny is that Saudi Arabia, Dubai and other Islamist states are so developed that people around the world are willing to go there and they conform with their rules. These sects should learn from them, get the highest form of education, make your enviroment peaceful, beautiful and developed and you would see that "those you claim are against you" would come wanting to have a partnership with you.

Or what do you readers think?

When the South Korean pop sensation, PSY brought out the "dancing like a horse dance" called the Gangnam style, he never expected it would reach even a million views but has done something no other artist has ever done before. Yesterday Friday December 21, 2012,  PSY's music video for Gangnam Style exceeded 1 billion views on YouTube, becoming the first video to ever do so in YouTube's history.

Google reports that Gangnam Style sees about 7 million views a day... no small feat from a man who was a complete unknown Stateside just a few months ago.
No beef but  isnt the dance a combination of galala, yahoozee, alanta and go down low? hmmm power of the media.

Royalty-free Vector Art: Illustration of a woman hooked up to…

Over the last few months in Nigeria, it has been  challenging interesting and somtimes filled with tears. I thought of what to write this morning and the shouts of my grandma complaining about my health brought out this question in my head :  " do you know your body would react to the things you feed it in the first 25 to 30 years? I was baffled and kept on pondering. I decided to "reject" the devil and say, It is not my portion but is ill health anyones portion?

If I can count, it has been, donate for this person that needs kidney transplant, this person that needs heart operation in india et all that has been in vogue with one of Nigeria's most watched TV station airing this.
Am happy at the response and I too do no matter how small. But ;
HOW WELL DO YOU TAKE CARE OF YOUR HEALTH?
this is not a matter of you being slim or fat. infact, being slim doesnt mean you are healthy, just that you (slim people) are not prone to diseases like we (covering my eyes) fat /plump people.

We need to take into cognaisance of what we take into our body and how well we rest. Of course I am not negating exercise.

Smoking is not good especially in this hot region of ours and if at all u want to smoke (not advising you do) please at the barest minimum. You save your self the embarrassment of asking people to donate for you and also a good health.

Exercise; believe you me it is not fun but you just have to do it. it helps the heart and keeps the body strong.

Fruits : They are hundred % natural and good for the body. as it has toxins that fights against germs.
Rest: no matter how busy you are please endeavour to rest. Even a robot would breakdown after a while. please rest.

Positive thoughts; The holy book talks about worry and how it doesn't solve a thing instead adds to it.

Devastated,Hurt, Confussed? ... You Can Be A Better Person

Ever felt like you are doing you best and yet all you get is complaints? every felt like you are not appreciated no matter how hard you try? Every felt lost knowing you deserve better than what you get?

Well, we all at one point or the other have that feeling where all seems wrong and no matter how hard you try you are not appreciated.
How do you you feel?
Angry, disappointed, heart broken or what? Especially when the person smiles at you but hurts you?
We all have had a taste of that at one point or the other but what is important is YOU.

Yes YOU! you are in control of how you let words and actions of people affect you.
  • Yes they are hypocrites but do you also see that they see a greater thing in you that they don't have? so why don't  you listen to their criticism, cry especially if it hurts and work on their criticisms
  • Hey its not everything they say you should do is right. You got to think, evaluate your self and follow your dream.
  • Run. Yes run but not from this challenge but from the thought that you cant be anything you want to be.
  • Pray, really you need to commune with your maker because you need his directions.
  • Strategise. The did has been done but guess what? Where their is life their is hope .You can be better, so work hard on it. Strategy would help  you know what steps to take at a particular time to achieve your goal.
  • Watch yourself. You now have to take a deliberate move with everything you do cos you know you are "haunted".
It is not  easy but with consistency you can turn that pain to gain.

Lead University Students (Four) Loose Their Lives On Their Way To A Club.

Debris of the car that claimed four lives and left two in critical condition

Whatever happened that night can best be described by the six occupants of the car unfortunately, four are dead and two critically injured. The four a female and three males, are students of Lead University in Ibadan  Oyo state, Nigeria, were on their way to a party at Koko Dome night club  when they met their death. Debris of the car shows they were driving in high speed and we hope not under the influence of alcohol. Reports according to Bella naija says the event happened in the early hoursof Saturday the 8th of December 2012. Sad tale I must say but would our youths not waste their lives in the name of living large? As we mourn with their parents friends and the university as a whole please let us know that our destiny is in our hand. Drive with caution.

What Would Make Nigerian Students Recommend Bode George As The Africa Leadership Award.

Bode George and wife

If what I just read is true then It would be a good question to ask the  National Association Of Nigerian students (NANS) why they nominated him? Hey not like I got beef for him but is he the only candidate they saw that has all round clean records? He (Bode George) has just been awarded the Africa Leadership Award by the All Africa Student Union.
For those who may not know Bode George, He is  PDP ( a political party in Nigeria) Who was convicted  and sent to Kirikiri maximum security prison in 2009 for abuse of Office. and needless I remind us that upon release, he was treated by his party compatriots like the "Joseph "and a service held in honour of his release. One important thing that happened that day was the reverend sermon who tactfully rebuked not only him but also other errant officers. He did the sandwiched approach and asked Bode George to see his release as an opportunity by God to give him a second chance
Now my question is, what is/are the prerequisites for such an award?
