Chidi Mokeme Returns As Host Of Gulder Ultimate Search

After eight years of trying different hands, organisers of the annual Gulder Ultimate Search have re-appointed actor, Chidi Mokeme as the anchor for this year’s edition of the reality contest show.
The announcement was made on the night of Sunday, October 7, 2012 at the Eko Hotel and Suites, Lagos during the final selection of the 12 contestants and the unveiling of some team members who will be on board.
The 12 finalists include Kofya Brown, Bornford Patience, Ayo Ojueromi, Uzor Osimkpa, Udodi Onyinyechukwu, and Ezeh Priscillia. Others are Ujam Emmanuel, Nuhu Haruna, Ogbuefi Michael, Ifet Iniobong, Ojezele Paschal and Adah James, all of who will proceed to the Usaka forest in the Obot Akara local government area of Akwa Ibom State.
Mokeme will be joined by past winners, Dominic Mudabai, Michael Nwachukwu, and Christopher Okagbue who will act as gate keepers while the show is on.
The show is in its ninth leg and has at different times been anchored by the likes of  Tin Tin, Darey Art Alade, Bob Manuel Udokwu and Genevieve Nnaji who hosted the celebrity edition.

Oyo Government To Demolish Yinka Ayefele's N200m Home

 

 

The sensational singer, Yinka Ayefele got a rude shocker yesterday morning when he learnt that his N200m building will be pulled down by the Oyo State Government.

According to his publicist, Ayefele was not given any prior notice about the demolition and he was shocked to hear about it this yesterday morning. 

The ibadan based singer, Ayefele went ahead to church and later went to perform at an event as if nothing happened but many people have continued to criticize Gov Ajimobi for his demolition policies. 

His publicist writes, "This N200million edifice has in its belly, two magnificent halls, an internet radio station, a standard studio and several offices. It also provides job for about 100 people and that places it among top employers of labor in Oyo State. This is Yinka Ayefele Music House that has being marked for demolition by Oyo State government. 

From the government quarters, "The government wants to expand the road to an 8-lane road being proposed by the state government. The road and the house will be affected and there is nothing anybody can do about it."

Popular Nigerian comedian, Afaemana Egwemba otherwise known as Klint the drunk is presently counting his gains as he celebrates his 5th wedding anniversary with his wife, Lilian.

The duo met in Jos and became friends before their marriage. According to Klint in an interview, he had met his wife while she was recovering from a heart break, aftre which he became friends with her and eventually asked for her hand in marriage.

Klint who is a graduate of Fine and Applied Arts, got married to his wife in 2007. They are blessed with two kids

8-year-old girl gets tongue stuck in water bottle

 

An eight-year-old cheerleader who needed doctors to “yank and pull” a water-bottle stuck on her tongue for more than eight hours last week may be suffering from nerve damage.
And now her mother, Shantay Small, says parents and manufacturers should pay more attention to the dangers common metal water bottles with small openings pose to young children.
Jayla Small was at cheerleading practice last Thursday when she took three sips from a red bottle she uses all the time.
On the third sip, her tongue got stuck.

The same day she revealed she's pregnant with her first child, Shakira was spotted out wearing a loose fitting black top with her hunky Spanish futbol player boyfriend Gerard Piqué in Barcelona on Wednesday.

While her baby news caused the 35-year-old Colombian pop star to cancel her performance in this weekend's iHeartRadio Music festival, Shakira is all set to replace Christina Aguilera as a coach on "The Voice" next spring.

No word yet if the baby is a she wolf ... or a he wolf.

Kingsley Chukwuemeka, manager of ace comedian Julius Agwu finally tied the knot with his girlfriend of twelve years Mary Ochefije on Saturday the 18th of August 2012 at Our Lady Of rosary catholic church. The two who have a five year old daughter together started their journey on Thursday with their Traditional on Thursday in the brides Ogba's residence in Lagos, Nigeria.

The wedding however saw a kind of drama twist as the brides dress was not delivered. The custom made dress by frank Oshodi saw the bride postponing the time of the wedding which was earlier slated for 10am to 12 noon. As at 12noon, the dress was not delivered and the bride still had to call the officiating bishop of the church Our Lady Of rosary catholic church in Ogba to please give her time... the dress finally arrived delivered personally by frank Oshodi at 1:30pm and on getting to the church, the service had ended with the officiating minister refusing to come down. It took the intervention of Julius Agwu who stepped in. the couple were called into the inner room where they were blessed.
