The chorus of the hit song “I'll always love you” by Celine Dion really encapsulates the feeling that lovely Ifeoma Linda Iyade & Benjamin Okoh on Saturday 22ND September 2012 @ St' Cyprain's Catholic Church New Oko-Oba Agege The memorable nuptial ceremony witnessed by their parents, family and friends,the officiating minister then took time to explain to the congregation especially the couple the reason for marriage. According to him, marriage is appointed by God. The church believes that marriage is a gift of God in creation and a means of grace by which man and woman become one heart, mind and body. Marriage is a life long union of man and woman who gives themselves to each other in love and trust.
Then the couple was asked if they had decided of their own free will to get married, their answer was in the affirmative and they were eventually joined and blessed. The whole church cheered in sheer delight as the couple exchange rings and were presented to the church as the newly wedded couple Ifeoma Linda Iyade & Benjamin Okoh
Guests filed out into the bright sunshine that day after the church service for photo calls, before they left for the reception.
The reception took off @ La Mango Restaurant & Bar @ no 2 Adekunle Fajuyi street G.R.A Ikeja and it was nothing less than what was expected. A very exciting moment of the event was the cutting of the cake where they both feed each other and there was a kiss to seal this open expression of affection.Another memorable moment was when Ras-Kimono and wife Efe supervised the cutting of the cake.When Ifeoma Linda Iyade  was asked to describe her husband she said “He is very caring, a sweet man, strong in mind, body and soul, he values my opinion, he loves me and he is very ambitious”. the couple have a lovely son together name Benjay junior.

 I was the chief bridesmaid at the wedding of my aunt  recently and my oh my was it an interestingly challenging moment for me, I was there at the beck and call of the bride, meeting her needs and  picking up money they spray both the bride and the groom.. whew! but that got me into think....
When  and where did the concept of  the Brides made originate from?

The Western bridesmaid tradition is thought to have originated from Roman Law, which required ten witnesses at a wedding in order to outsmart evil spirits (believed to attend marriage ceremonies) by dressing in identical clothing to the bride and groom, so that the evil spirits would not know who was getting married. Even as late as 19th century England, there was a belief that ill-wishers could administer curses and taint the wedding. In Victorian wedding photographs, for example, the bride and groom are frequently dressed in the same fashion as other members of the bridal party.^[4]
Other people cite the Biblical story of Jacob, and his two wives Leah and Rachel, who both literally came with their own maids as detailed in the Book of Genesis (29:24, 46:18) as the origin of bridesmaids. These women were handmaidens (servants or slaves) instead of social peers.

Kingsley Chukwuemeka, manager of ace comedian Julius Agwu finally tied the knot with his girlfriend of twelve years Mary Ochefije on Saturday the 18th of August 2012 at Our Lady Of rosary catholic church. The two who have a five year old daughter together started their journey on Thursday with their Traditional on Thursday in the brides Ogba's residence in Lagos, Nigeria.

The wedding dress by frank Oshodi

The wedding however saw a kind of drama twist as the brides dress was not delivered. The custom made dress by frank Oshodi saw the bride postponing the time of the wedding which was earlier slated for 10am to 12 noon. As at 12noon, the dress was not delivered and the bride still had to call the officiating bishop of the church Our Lady Of rosary catholic church in Ogba to please give her time... the dress finally arrived delivered personally by frank Oshodi at 1:30pm and on getting to the church, the service had ended with the officiating minister refusing to come down. It took the intervention of Julius Agwu who stepped in. the couple were called into the inner room where they were blessed.
