Photos: Prince Williams & Catherine Introduce Heir Of The British Mornachy To The World

The world has seen the royal baby for the first time as the future king left hospital with his ecstatic parents yesterday evening.
Prince William and Kate waved and smiled broadly to the waiting cameras as they held their prince on the steps of the private Lindo Wing at St Mary’s Hospital in London, 26 hours after he was delivered, weighing 8lbs 6oz. Speaking for the first time since giving birth, an obviously moved Duchess of Cambridge said: ’It’s been very emotional. Any parent will know what this feeling is like.’
As they left St Mary’s carefully cradling their precious child, the Duke of Cambridge followed the steps his parents Charles and Diana took with him 31 years ago, when he was born there on June 21, 1982.
‘He’s a big boy, quite heavy. We’re still working on a name,’ he told reporters, adding: ‘Well he has a good pair of lungs on him, that’s for sure.’

"Olivia Pope" Finally Gets Married...

Kerry Washington - Olivia Pope in Scandal
Kerry Washington who played Olivia Pope  in the American hit TV Series  "Scandal" is married. Though must say I had my doubts about TV series but I when I finally did, I was hooked. Also, I found a way to sieve the wheat from the shaft and learnt one crucial lesson. Your instict (as a christian the holy spirit) is always true.
Would spare you the gist later. What is news is that this 36 (yeah she looks younger) American actress is married to a handsome American with Nigerian roots. He is San Francisco 49ers corner back Ezenwa Nnamdi Asomugha, aged 31, on June 24 in Hailey, Idaho in the U.S. What is news is not only about the marriage or the fact that she is married to a Nigerian, What is news is that at 36, she  this is her first marriage.little wonder she had a very quite and private ceremony which didn't include the paparazzi. Any way PEOPLE magazine got their signed wedding certificate and decided to share.
I wish her the very best and can only pray that their union would last a very very long time.

Not How Long But How Well: Adenike Ogungbe, Dies Shortly After Child Birth

Late Adenike Ogungbe (CEO Ewar Make -Over)
Beautiful Adenike Ogungbe,CEO of Ewar Make-Over passed on Wednesday the 3rd of July after noon at the age of 32  a day after she gave birth to a baby girl, this humble, down to earth woman did  I really admire though didn't know her personally. There was a video of her on BellaNaija on how to tie Gele which I watched over and over again and really I learnt some things from it.

This brings me to the question? How impactful  is your life? I live in Lagos where people live their homes as early as 4;30 am heading to their places of work. Many have been doing this for up to 10 years and though they wish to stop, they are still in the rat -race.

This young lady though sad she had to live so soon. Left an impact in our world that can't be forgotten. She loved make-up and practiced it. She went further to teach people. What is your passion? What are you doing to make that passion a reality? As I write this, I hope someone gets the message and enjoy that work you are doing or re-strategies and follow your dreams. Adenike never thought she would leave us so soon, but she has and all we have her are legacies. My heartfelt condolence to her husband. God bless us all.

Personally...

Yeah "Personally" I got a lot on my mind on the state of the country, personal life and some other interesting things, I miss blogging and would like to say a big thank you to all those who mail me to ask whats up.
Today I would like to talk about a "personal"topic :  Personally

Guess many are wondering my repetition of the word. Well lets just say I got some issues that are affecting me personally (oops said it again) that I feel like discussing.

Was surfing the net some days back I stumbled on the news about a Chinese couple that fell off the window of their room while making love, having sex. Personally, it got me thinking about the crazy things people do in the name of passion at the expense of their lives. I got talking with some friends and then the topic sex, pornography and religion came up. While I really don't like these three topics, I must say I was surprised at the dexterity at which my friends explained the topic. We would discuss that later. So personally, would like to ask you: What is that thing that you are so passionate off that you don't mind if  you loose your life?

While you ponder on this question of mine, I would like you to personally watch this musical video by Nigeria only twins group PSquare titled PERSONALLY.... A tribute to Micheal Jackson.

"The love that lasts the longest is the love that can never be."

The hardest thing to do is watch the one you love, love someone else

A mighty pain to love it is,
And 'tis a pain that pain to miss;
But of all pains, the greatest pain
It is to love, but love in vain.

In a perfect world, when he's with her, he would be wishing he was with me; when he looked at her, he would be looking at me; when he smiled at her, his smile would be for me; when he thought about someone, he would be thinking about me. In a perfect world, he would realize that she wasn't the one he was supposed to be with and I would still be standing here waiting for him still when he finally knows this. But this isn't a perfect world and people do get hurt, you smile when you feel like crying, you act like you're okay when you're falling apart inside and you let it go. You move on, because there's nothing else you can do."

How can you simply be friends with someone when every time you look at them, you're thinking about how much more you really want?"

Big Dreams Happen When You Are Awake.

Was going through Bellanaija.com wedding section of cos and the above title came to mind.

In life, we go through a lot of things and are sometimes distracted from our initial plan and goals. While some get back on their feet and make that dream a reality, some others forget the dream and dream another dream while other just let it die in them and live each day as it comes without plans.

I sure miss blogging, stories, gists and all that but sometimes I guess you have to lay back and dream and for me its time for me to wake up and make my dream come alive... while awake of course.

Watch out as something great is happening soon. To all those who chipped in advice(s) just want to say a big thank you to you all. Thanks for believing in me.

Rape!!!! An Act Done By Cowards.

I read about the story of an Indian lady aged 23 who was raped by six men and had her  vagina and intestines plunged out in India and then I weep at how deteriorated human values are. Any young man who turns to Rape is a coward and an animal. Its sad to say the lady died Saturday the 29th of Dec 2012 after she went into coma five times since the 16th December. She was unconscious. Critical and wasn't been able to stop crying...But don’t worry, she wasn't your sister, she wasn't your niece, she wasn't your daughter, but she could be. The brutality has to stop right here guys. These people deserve capital punishment for their cruel, perverted act...

May her soul RIP.... Amen

Happy New Year.... Be disciplined, Focused and Dilligent

Every last day of every year happens to be a special one for me first because it shows I have scaled through all the hurdles that year threw at me, another reason is that I came into this world on the last day in the year 1985. Well this write up aint about me but about US. So glad we made it into the New Year, thinking about people that have lost their lives this past year gives those of us still living a wake up call to always remain good at all times.
I wouldn’t want to preach as we all have resolutions (most of us break it in less than a month) but I want us all to have a plan and a commitment that “Our yesterday should be better than today”.
My mind goes down to the gruesome Aluu 4 killings in port Harcourt Nigeria like they were my blood. For those who watched the video that went viral you would remember Lloyd I think who was murmuring something’s and all that came to my mind was that I hoped he was giving his life to Christ. No one truly knows what happened that day but one thing is for sure, Souls of Nigeria future leaders got cut short by Nigerians.
I wish us all we wish the best this year got to offer and only pray that the blessings of Enlargement  in Isaiah 54 is our portion.

Your Date With Destiny By Chris Widener

Destiny. What a powerful word. And the great thing about it? Everyone has one! You have a destiny! Another great thing about destiny? We have a significant role in shaping our own destiny! In essence, you can choose your date with destiny - powerful!

Your destiny is the dream that lies within you of your desired and preferred future. And the things that we choose each day are what lead us to that destiny: Our actions, our words, our attitudes, and our relationships. They all add up to develop and shape that date on which we will reach our destiny.

Here are some thoughts to think about as you work on shaping your Date with Destiny:

The Mental Question: Do you believe that you can achieve a life of abundance? The frank truth is that many people simply do not believe that they can achieve what lies in their heart. Success is for someone else, a better person, or a smarter person. This is not true and is perhaps the greatest obstacle we face on the journey to our destiny. If we are to achieve the abundance in life we must first believe we can, or face our own continual self-sabotage of what a college professor of mine called "stinkin'-thinkin.'"

Here is the truth:
It doesn't matter what your intelligence is.
It doesn't matter what your current resources are.
It doesn't matter what you currently earn.
It doesn't matter what family you came from.

Nothing in your current circumstances matters in whether or not you can achieve your destiny! Nothing! Now, your current state may make it a longer or harder journey than someone else, but the possibility is always there no matter what your current circumstances are.
And that is the message we need to continually tell ourselves. "I can do it." Not "I can't do it."
Clear vision. Do you have one of your destiny? Here are some questions to determine whether or not your vision is clear.
Can you describe it in intricate detail?
Can you "see" it?
Can you "feel" it?
Can you "hear" it?

Here are a couple of illustrations.
Perhaps you came from a dysfunctional family and your dream is to have great moments with your family. Let's start with a Thanksgiving meal. Can you see each person there? What are they wearing? Are they smiling? What is the conversation? Can you hear the laughter? Can you experience the joy? Can you smell the turkey? Can you see people hugging each other and saying "This was wonderful," as they leave?
Another scenario: Your Company. Can you see the large building you are in? Can you see the workers? Can you feel the positive attitude they have as they carry out their work? Can you experience the excitement as you get the quarterly results? Can you see yourself handing out healthy bonuses that bring pleasant surprises to your employees?

This is where it begins. A clear vision of your destiny. Consider your resources. Are you aware of the resources you will need in order to set your date with destiny? Do you know how you will go about getting them? What are your natural gifts and talents that you have? How can you best utilize them in achieving your destiny?

What is your current level of resources?
Money?
Time?
Emotional health?
Help from others such as friends, family, employees or volunteers?

What will be your needed future level of resources? And have you developed a plan to achieve this level?

The last thing I would encourage you to do is fix a date in the future that you believe you could be living your destiny by. A real date. What this enables you to do is then begin to work backwards in setting goals to move you along the way, providing you with future points to strive for and an evaluation point to reflect upon.

Here are the points again:

Answer the mental question: Do I really believe?

Develop a clear vision.

Consider the resources needed.

Set a date with destiny.

Develop a plan to get there.

Lt Adeyemi David Sowole Buried Amidst Tears

Lt Adeyemi Sowole
His Daughter
I waited this long to see if any TV station would carry this news but to my dismay No! May be today but is it NOT funny that NTA could air the news about the fire accident in Obasanjo's house and yet not even a gist about the burial of this fine gentle man who served his nation till the end? I sympathise with the Azazi's over the death of their loved one but do the likes of Ben Bruce and Donald Duke only sympathise because they know him ?what about the pilot and co pilot who in line of duty  missed a chance to be the father to his daughter, the unborn child in his beautiful wife's womb, a husband to Doctor Eniola? Values real values. I could go on and on venting but, it may just fall on a dead horse ears. Yesterday, Thursday the 27th of December 2012, the remains of Lt Adeyemi David Sowole was interred to mother earth amidst, family, friends and loved ones.
A requime mass was held in the Protestant Church Nigeria Navy Barracks Navy Town, there after  his remains was taking to the " Nigerian Army Cemetry Ojo". He was honoured by his colleagues who gave him a befitting parade and the 21 gunshot before committing him to mother earth. His wife, Dr Eniola Sowole, their daughter, the deceased sister did the dust to dust right on him biding him fare well till they meet to part no more.
On their wedding day

Worker Fired Because Boss Finds Her Irresistible.

Now When I read that story on CNN I laughed doubting its authenticity but it is true and this happened in IOWA. Melissa Nelson, whose case was ruled by the high court who sided with a lower court, ruling that Nelson's termination did not constitute sex discrimination under the Iowa Civil Rights Act.She was not fired because of her gender, the court decided, but because her boss and his wife felt Nelson was a threat to their marriage.
Nelson was hired in 1999 as a dental assistant for James Knight. She stayed on at the Fort Dodge business for more than 10 years.

Wow...

Fire Crackers Brings Down Houses In Lagos Island

I am sure when they bought those fire crackers and stored it in those warehouses in the Jankara area of Lagos, they were looking at how much sales they were going to make but guess fate had other plans for it as an unsuspected person threw it in one of the buildings and Alas, it was "fire cracking" burning down houses and leaving many homeless and millions of Naira lost.
Explosions from the "knockouts" caused panic amongst residents of the area.
The massive fire gutted eight houses and injured forty people according to Ibrahim Farinloye, the National Emergency Management Agency spokesperson in Lagos.NEMA said the army, navy and airforce joined in putting out the fire by midday.
One person reported dead from the fire.

First BokoHaram, And Now Ansaru... What Next?

I really do not understand these sects and their plan. I wouldn't want to say religion  because I have some moslem friends who are the most peaceful, gentle and honest people i have ever met and they are Hausa's. but the difference is that they are Educated. The nation is stil trying to get rid of the BokoHaram sect which has been tormenting the country Nigeria since 2009, killing human beings and claiming they are doing the right thing. and then Ansaru, a brother to Bokoharam “ announces to the world, especially the French government, that it was responsible for the abduction of engineer Francis Colump, 63, working for the French company Vergnet.”.
Their Reason?
They said the french are against Islam and about to ban women from wearing viels. The group specifically pointed to “France’s major role in the (planned) attack on the Islamic state in northern Mali.”

Duh.. is that a good reason to stop a project that would be beneficial to your children and children's children? pardon me if am wrong but I think these sects need to have a rethink on their strategy. If they want to be the best, they should get knowledge. Whats funny is that Saudi Arabia, Dubai and other Islamist states are so developed that people around the world are willing to go there and they conform with their rules. These sects should learn from them, get the highest form of education, make your enviroment peaceful, beautiful and developed and you would see that "those you claim are against you" would come wanting to have a partnership with you.

Or what do you readers think?
